Super Mario 3D World Gallery – Fee-fi-fo-fum!

by Ron Duwell | October 25, 2013October 25, 2013 4:30 pm PDT

I know that Mario growing to big proportions has always been a core mechanic in his games, but the latest batch of screenshots from Super Mario 3D World are just being plain silly. Remember the first time you swallowed a Super Mushroom in New Super Mario Bros. and he grew to the size of the screen? Yeah, this is along those lines.

Wooden crates beware! Mario and his friends have boots of steel and are not afraid of trashing every single inch of box that gets into their path to smithereens. They carelessly trounce through box after box without a shred of care for possible splinters. What has these characters so spooked that they need to be in such a hurry?

How about the most adorable Bullet Bill ever? Those cat ears go miles towards covering up the fact that he is just one angry piece of lead hurling at the speed of sound.

The screenshots also show off what looks like a haunted mansion stage. Mario and Luigi disguise themselves in flashlight boxes and shine a light on some of the spooky residents.

Nintendo has also provided a look into the multiplayer with the Nintendo Minute crew romping through the world, and it is absolute chaos. I think I’ll just go about the game playing it single player.

Super Mario 3D World will be released on November 22nd for the Wii U.
