It’s been just over a month since Apple released the iPhone 5s, and now notorious iPhone knockoff-maker GooPhone has opened up pre-orders for the i5S. The Apple clone comes in black, gold and silver; costs just $199 for an unlocked device; and offers mid-range specs and a heavily modified version of Google’s Android OS.
The GooPhone i5S comes equipped with a 4-inch qHD 960 x 5400-pixel display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 3G connectivity and a 1,500mAh battery. It runs Android 4.2.2 with full access to the Google Play store by simply tapping the Apple App Store icon (we told you it was a ripoff), and seems to do a pretty good job of imitating iOS 7 while offering Android services beneath the surface.
It’s extremely unlikely GooPhone will offer the i5S in the U.S., since Apple would almost certainly sue the company for patent infringement. You can check out a third-party hands on video of the device above and a gallery of photos just below, but if you want a new GooPhone for yourself you may be out of luck.
