Are you looking to satisfy your indie gaming fix with a creepy game on Halloween? The survival horror gem Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut will be releasing on Oct. 31, and it has all the frights needed for a spooky gaming session deep into the dark hours of the year’s most haunted night.

The new Director’s Cut version takes all of the added content from the recently released PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions and delivers it to PC gamers.

No official price has been set, but those who already own the game through Steam or Humble Bundle will be getting the added content absolutely free, even the cheapskates who only paid $.01.

Creator Jasper Byrne confirmed that those who have not purchased it might have to pay a little more on top.

“To offset some of the (quite large) costs of making it, I will be having a small price increase on release, although I’ll be running a sale for the first couple of days so that it’ll still be possible to purchase at the original price before the increase.”

So far, over 800,000 people have enjoyed Lone Survivor‘s multiple paths, multiple endings and spooky atmosphere that rivals even most big budget attempts at horror. The pixelated horror game is available on PC, Mac and Linux, but those who prefer consoles can enjoy it on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
