Apple iWork Suite Updated for iOS and OS X; iWork for iCloud Gets Collaboration

Apple just announced a complete update to its entire iWork suite, with a brand new UI, for both computers and iOS.

iWork includes Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Numbers has a brand new look and features charts that update in real-time. Keynote has new animations and effects across devices. Pages, meanwhile has new templates for creating different types of documents. Links can be shared easily across devices, including PCs, for viewing documents on any platform over the web.

In Safari, iCloud for iWork has also received an update with the new features. It was in Beta before, and now Apple is introducing collaboration so that multiple people can update and edit documents at the exact same time. This is similar to what Google offers through Google Drive, and changes are reflected on all devices almost instantly.

Just like the new iLife suites, iWork is now completely free.
