It’s been 27 days since the launch of iOS 7, and a report is claiming that 71 percent of iOS devices have already been upgraded to the new operating system.

iOS 7 was met with a lot of skepticism after launch, thanks to new features and a drastic new look. Despite the grumbling, Mixpanel‘s research has found that not only do a majority of iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches now support the new operating system, but it is also the fastest spreading to date.

It took iOS 6 a total of 30 days to reach a 61 percent install base on iOS devices, a record that the iOS 7 has had no problem smashing.

Apple has not confirmed an official amount of iOS 7 downloads yet, but it’s possible we’ll hear more about these figures during the company’s press event on October 22, where we’re likely to hear more about new iPads as well.
