Sony Xperia Z1 Hands-On

T-Mobile may add another Xperia flagship device to its line-up in the near future. Frequent mobile leaker @evleaks recently got its hands on what looks like a rendering of the Xperia Z1 with T-Mobile’s branding clearly displayed at the bottom of the back panel. For now that’s it though, with no info on how much the carrier will charge for the handset or when it will launch.

Sony’s Xperia Z1 comes equipped with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel display at 441 ppi, a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, a 3000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSd support, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. The Z1 comes running Android 4.2 out of the box with Sony’s extremely minimal bloatware on top.

T-Mobile made headlines earlier this week after announcing the third stage of its UnCarrier strategy. The company revealed on Wednesday that it will offer data and texting in over 100 countries around the globe at no extra cost for world travelers starting on Oct. 31. International voice calls will cost a flat rate of just 20 cents per minute.
