Ahead of its unveiling next week, it appears people already have their mitts on HTC’s One Max. The device has shown up on multiple occasions over the past several weeks, but never in complete form. And, according to this Instagram post, the device is as huge as the rumor suggested. The phablet war is about to get even crazier, which is always great news for consumers who like a bit of choice.
We just recently saw the One Max’s (nearly full) spec sheet leak, and with an announcement so close at hand, it sure looks like the flood gates are opening up. Running under that enormous 5.9-inch Full HD screen will supposedly be a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 chip, 2GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB options of internal storage (microSD expandable) and 3,200mAh battery. The device also supposedly come with Sense 5.5 out of the box, which we’ve heard will bring some nice changes to BlinkFeed, among other options.
With a One and One Mini already filling two segments of the mobile market, HTC is on the cusp of covering all the bases. The LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are already filling pockets around the world, so the One Max will have some catching up to do. Will the device’s aluminum build and new Sense features entice customers? We’ll found out soon.
