T-Mobile Looks Set to Introduce Global Data Plans in Over 100 Countries

T-Mobile Event July 2013 - 03

According to a screenshot posted on a Shakira fan site’s Facebook, we may already know what T-Mobile plans on announcing at its event later today (where Shakira is set to perform). The image reveals that the UnCarrier is set to introduce data plans that will cover you in over 100 countries, meaning your nomadic tendencies will be bathed in T-Mobile data all across the world. If that’s the case, you’ll essentially never need an unlocked device ever again—these plans will let you get roaming data coverage at no extra charge, too.

Some questions are still left unanswered, such as if data will be capped, how much the plans will be, and what 100 countries will be covered at roll out. Earlier this morning, T-Mobile CEO slyly hinted that the carrier will “change the way the world uses their phones.” I’d say the two are definitely related. T-Mobile will reveal everything at its event later tonight, where TechnoBuffalo will be in attendance.
