Is Sonos about to announce a new wireless speaker? The Verge just received a photo from one its readers showing an unannounced product apparently called the Play:1, which is already being sold at Target for just $199. Considering the company hasn’t made an official announcement, this is likely a mistake on Target’s end, though we expect Sonos will launch the device soon.

Based on its name, the Play:1 will house a single speaker, compared to the Play:3 and  Play:5, which hold three and five speakers, respectively. If Target got its pricing right, Sonos new offering will be its cheapest yet, undercutting the Play:3’s $299 price tag. Hopefully the Play:1 will work the same way as Sonos’s current Play models, meaning we’ll get a wireless speaker that works as both a self contained device or an amplifier for a larger sound system, but there’s no way to know until Sonos makes an official announcement.

We’ll update this story as more news comes in.
