T-Mobile has some big news to share. The company announced on Friday that it would roll out Uncarrier 3.0 this Wednesday, Oct 9 during a special event in New York featuring Shakira. The event will include a free concert from the Colombian pop star, with T-Mobile giving away thousands of free tickets to its customers.
Part one of T-Mobile’s Uncarrier plan was announced back in March, when the company distinguished itself by moving away from subsidized smartphones and two-year contracts. Then in July, the carrier launched JUMP!, letting customers upgrade to a new smartphone twice each year for just $10 per month.
T-Mobile’s energetic CEO John Legere hinted that Uncarrier 3.0 would arrive in fall 2013, and now the big news is just a few days away. TechnoBuffalo will be there to bring you live coverage of the event. Stay tuned.
I can’t wait until other carriers see what we have up our sleeve. They are going to flip out! #Uncarrier
