As with just about every other big online release, GTA Online has had its share of problems, ranging from barely playable to entirely unplayable for many users. According to a post yesterday on Rockstar’s support blog, though, they’ve been “working on a title update for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to address commonly reported issues with GTA Online.” Rockstar hopes to have the update ready sometime today.
Some of the issues detailed by Rockstar include:
- A PSN issue limiting the number of possible concurrent issues, preventing most playres from accessing GTA Online entirely.
- An issue preventing some players from getting through the first tutorial mission across both platforms.
- Instability across GTA Online services affecting even those beyond the tutorial mission.
- Issues with the Social Club site and features
Rockstar has also disabled microtransactions for their GTA$ (Autobuxx, I call them) packs, though players able to access the game can still earn them in-game. We hope today’s update will finally let us in long enough to bring you our review next week.
Editor’s Note: The patch for PlayStation 3 has launched. Still no word on the Xbox 360’s yet.
