Snapchat Introduces Snapchat Stories Highlight Reels

Snapchat introduced a new feature on Thursday called “Snapchat Stories,” which lets you create and tell a story using video. Like the original Snapchat clips, the life is limited.

“Your story never ends and it’s always changing,” the company explained in a blog post. “The end of your story today is a beginning of your story tomorrow. And each Snap in your story includes a list of everyone who views it.” The story includes several images or video clips that include the Snapchats you’ve created throughout a day. Think of it as a sort of highlight reel of your activities from a 24-hour period.

We think it would be kind of neat if there was an option to save these “Stories” for future viewing, though that’s kind of the beauty of Snapchat -you capture and share a fleeting moment and then it vanishes forever. The feature is now available in the iOS and Android apps, and you can get a taste of how it works in the video above.
