Samsung Mobile’s U.S. chief product officer Kevin Packingham recently ended his tenure with the company, although it’s unclear why he left or where he’s headed. Packingham was tasked with working with U.S. wireless carriers and focusing on Samsung’s U.S. product launch roadmaps.

“Kevin Packingham has departed Samsung Mobile,” Samsung said in a statement to TechnoBuffalo, when reached for comment. “We thank Kevin for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Packingham served as the chief product officer for just over two years, after leaving his spot as the president and CEO of Amerilink Telcom. He also worked for Sprint from 1999 until 2010.

Given his experience in telecom, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Packingham pop up at a competing firm in the near future. We’ll keep you up to date if he does.
