The Galaxy Note 3 will launch on AT&T alongside the Galaxy Gear smartwatch starting Oct. 4, the company announced recently. A carrier representative confirmed to TechnoBuffalo that the redesigned phablet and its companion device will hit online and physical stores this week while pre-orders will start shipping tomorrow.
The Galaxy Note 3 costs $299 with a two-year contract from AT&T. Samsung’s new phablet comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 3200mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the latest version of Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top, and comes with a redesigned S Pen stylus.
If you want to pick up the Galaxy Gear as well, Samsung’s first smartwatch will set you back an additional $299. The wearable device works exclusively with the latest Galaxy devices, and comes equipped with a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.9-megapixel camera capable of taking photos and 15-second videos, 2 microphones and a speaker for making calls, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and a 315mAh battery offering about one full day of use per charge.
