Leaked Nexus 5 Specs Include 8MP Camera, 4.97-Inch Display

We already have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Nexus 5 thanks to numerous spec and photo leaks, but over the weekend Myce uncovered a mother load of details. The site published a massive log file containing over 133,000 lines of code on the Nexus 5, which confirm much of what we already knew and add a few more rumors into the mix as well.

Based on the leaked files, the Nexus 5 is designed by LG and runs Android KitKat 4.4. The device also comes equipped with a 4.97-inch 1080p display with a 422ppi, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a somewhat disappointing 8-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 1.2-megapixel shooter.

In the past, Google’s series of Nexus smartphones haven’t boasted the most powerful specs, instead offering the latest Android iteration and serving as an example for what hardware is necessary to run its mobile OS. The Nexus 5 appears to boast some impressive specs, but the device is really geared at users who prefer a pure Android experience and crave instant access to the latest software updates.
