Virgin Mobile USA announced today that it would start selling the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c starting on Oct. 1, the same day most regional U.S. carriers will get Apple’s new smartphones. The pre-paid carrier announced the news today on its official Twitter account, but did not reveal how much it would charge for either device.

The iPhone 5s costs $199 with a two-year contract or comes contract-free from T-Mobile starting at $649 for a 16GB model, $749 for 32GB and $849 for 64GB. The refreshed smartphone offers the same design as the iPhone 5, but packs in a faster A7 processor, the M7 motion co-processor, a larger battery, a built-in fingerprint scanner, and comes running iOS 7 out of the box.

The iPhone 5c starts at $99 on-contract, or $549 off-contract from T-Mobile for 16GB and $649 for 32GB of storage. It offers the same specs seen in the iPhone 5 with a redesigned plastic unibody shell that comes in pink, yellow, blue, green or white, and runs iOS 7 out of the box.
