HTC: No Android 4.3 for U.S. HTC One Devices This Month

HTC One Review - Back - Phone in Hand

HTC’s U.S. President, Jason Mackenzie, informed eager One owners on Friday that Android 4.3 won’t be out for carrier devices before the month is up. After issuing a soft-launch on Twitter in August, Mackenzie today said the update is still going through carrier certification, “but will slightly miss” the company’s self-imposed Sept. 30 deadline. Unfortunate, but Mackenzie reminds fans that HTC is definitely working hard to get the software out as soon as possible.

If you were holding out for an updated experience, you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. Mackenzie says HTC will only slightly miss the previously expected timeframe, suggesting it’s only a matter of days until it officially starts rolling out. If you have an International HTC One with Android 4.3 already, well, don’t rub it in too much.
