Facebook for Android on Thursday received an update that’s actually quite convenient. In addition to typical bug fixes and performance enhancements, the social network’s mobile app now gives users the ability to edit posts after they’ve been published. That’s hugely welcomed for those who have an itchy Facebook finger; nobody is immune to typos, not even us here at TechnoBuffalo.
In order to redo posts, simply click on the Edit button to change whatever it is you said about the last season of Breaking Bad. That particular post’s history will still show up, however, but that’s only if a friend checks your post’s edit history—nothing on the Internet is gone forever, even if you do edit it. The history feature of edited posts was apparently a big factor Facebook wanted to get right before launching the option for its Android app; iOS will get the same feature soon.
