Following overwhelming demand and increased production, Apple on Wednesday announced the upcoming availability of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c at a number of regional carriers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Via MacRumors, carriers such as C Spire, Strata, Cellcom and Ntelos, among others, will all offer Apple’s new handsets beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1—notably absent is U.S. Cellular.
In addition to the carriers participating in the Oct. 1 launch, many others will supposedly offer the devices soon, though no exact dates have been announced just yet. Below is the full list of carriers launching the device next week.
- Appalachian Wireless
- Bluegrass Cellular
- C Spire
- Nex-Tech Wireless
Apple’s new devices have exceeded expectations and hit a new milestone for the Cupertino company; demand for the gold iPhone 5s has been particularly high, with other color options of Apple’s higher end device selling out as well. Along with its new A7 chip and revamped camera, the iPhone 5s comes equipped with a neat fingerprint sensor known as Touch ID. The iPhone 5c is essentially an iPhone 5 in a colorful plastic casing—though it’s a lot more solid than you might think.
Meanwhile, regional carrier MTS in Canada will also participate in the Oct. 1 launch, while SaskTel has yet to announced an official date of availability.
