Motorola’s T-Mobile variant of the Moto X is receiving a pretty important software update today, which includes a big focus (ha) on improving the device’s camera. Some of the improvements: enhanced auto-white balance performance and color accuracy, improved exposure in outdoor and backlit scenes and reduced noise in low light scenes. According to Droid-Life’s own testing, the difference is actually pretty substantial, so the free update is definitely worth it.
The Moto X is without question one of today’s top Android devices; it has smart software, terrific hardware, and the option to customize colors and button accents. However, the camera is easily its weakest attribute (well, was), though it sounds like that is changing in a hurry. No word yet on when the AT&T version of the Moto X will get the camera update, but we’ll let you know as soon as it starts rolling out.
