iOS 7 Now Installed on Over 200 Million Devices

If you wondered why you had so many issues downloading iOS 7 when it released, it might have something to do with the couple hundred million devices it was happening on.

While announcing the sales of the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s this morning, Apple also announced that iOS 7 is off to a massive start. One line in the press release said it all.

In addition, more than 200 million iOS devices are now running the completely redesigned iOS 7, making it the fastest software upgrade in history.

That’s a whole lot of people getting used to the completely redesigned operating system that Jony Ive took over when Scott Forstall and his skeuomorphic design styles were given the boot last year. Of course there are sure to be people amongst the user base who have more than one iOS device, but that is still a whole lot of people, and a heck of a lot of data being transferred to devices.
