Firefox for Android

Firefox pushed out a new beta version of its Android web browser app today, announcing several new features and asking for user help in testing the new software. The app includes a guest mode for sharing your phone, and a handful of new settings and options.

Guest browsing lets you share your Android device with a friend while protecting your own web history, bookmarks and currently open tabs. Simply launch a guest session and let your friends go at it. When they’re done you can end the session, deleting all their activity from your phone and returning the browser exactly the way you left it.

Firefox also added the ability to save images from the Internet directly to you home screen as new wallpaper, or as contact photos. All you have to do is hold down your finger on an image and the menu will pop up. There’s an upgraded Settings menu as well, with improved privacy controls, and the app now supports 27 languages total with the addition of Ukrainian, Romanian and Irish Gaelic.

If you want to give the new Firefox Beta a try, you can download it immediately.
