Apple’s Shiny New iPhone 5s Is Finally Available

On big launch days, new Apple products are never easy to come by. This year in particular, the iPhone circus was especially crazy leading up to the iPhone 5s’s announcement; there were part leaks, fingerprint scanner rumors and indications that supply would be scarce. But after months of leaks, Apple’s next flagship device, which will go head-to-head with the Galaxy S4 and HTC One, among other big smartphones, is finally available. Did you brave the lines?

For the most part, Apple’s iPhone 5s is an iPhone 5. But with some internal changes, a revamped camera, new operating system and that new Touch ID sensor, Apple has actually introduced one of its best ever products. Iterative updates are always perceived by naysayers as boring and unnecessary, but Apple’s new 64-bit architecture and fingerprint scanning technology begs to differ. Besides, if you don’t like it, don’t get it.

If you’re an Apple fan, today is your day. Not only are you getting the iPhone 5s, but also the more colorful (and cheaper) iPhone 5c. Android fans, well, you have pretty much an entire year’s worth of devices to get excited about—chances are you’re perfectly content with the S4, or Moto X, or whatever else is in your pocket. So, then, what color iPhone 5s did you go with? And what size?

12:01 a.m. in your time zone is when the craziness starts. Let us know how it went!
