Samsung’s massive 12.2-inch Galaxy Note tablet may be more than just a rumor. After an alleged photo of the Android slate leaked earlier this month, the device was spotted today in a Bluetooth certification test. The rumored device isn’t listed by name, instead referred to as the SM-P901, while¬†Evleaks¬†reported back in July that the Note 12.2’s model number was SM-P900.

Based on the latest leak, the Galaxy Note 12.2 will support Bluetooth 4.0. We also expect the upcoming tablet to offer similar specs to the refreshed Note 10.1, meaning 3GB of RAM, a 1.9GHz octa-core processor, a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and the redesigned S Pen. Of course, we won’t know anything for sure until Samsung makes an official announcement.

We initially expected to see the Galaxy Note 12.2 unveiled at IFA earlier this month in Berlin, but with the tech expo long over it’s unclear when Samsung will officially announce the new tablet. It’s also possible that the device is still in the very early stages of development, and may never see the light of day.
