The first TV Spot for Pokemon X and Y, courtesy of All Games Beta, has been airing in America and getting the country pumped once again for Pokemania. New methods of battling, new regions to explore, and of course, new Pokemon to catch and train. We’ve come a long way since our parents warned us not to get involved with this new Pokemon fad, but 15 years later, here we are still lining up for yet another entry in this ageless series.
Of course, I’m pumped for the chance to make Bulbasaur my starting Pokemon again. Most likely I will revert to my sickeningly conservative ways and play as the original 151 for yet another generation of Pokemon. I just simply don’t have the memory necessary to remember an entire encyclopedia of make believe animals anymore. My 13-year-old self would be ashamed of me remembering the names and ordering of the original Pokedex.
Pokemon X and Y will be available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on Oct. 12 worldwide.
