If you want to pre-order Apple’s new iPhone 5C you may want to stay up a bit later tonight. It looks like pre-orders for the colorful new iPhone are going to kick off at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time tomorrow, Sept. 13. Apple hasn’t yet confirmed the time, though as MacRumors notes, Verizon and Sprint will start to take pre-orders at that time, which suggests Apple will also.
Unfortunately, Cupertino and its carrier partners aren’t accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 5S. It’s not immediately clear why that is, though we suspect it could be due to limited supply of parts. Either way, the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S will both hit store shelves on Sept. 20.
The iPhone 5C will launch on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile — though the latter hasn’t revealed pricing for its Uncarrier plans yet — and the 16GB model will cost $99 with a new two-year contract while the 32GB option will cost $199. It launches in white, red, blue, green and yellow.
