While AT&T, Verizon and Sprint will sell the iPhone 5C for $99 with a new two-year contract, T-Mobile customers may have to pay a bit more. The wireless operator hasn’t yet unveiled its “Uncarrier” monthly installment plans for the device, which could bring it down to free, so for now we’re going based on what’s official on Apple’s site.
The 16GB iPhone 5C is currently listed for $549 from Apple, $100 less than the 16GB iPhone 5S, while the 32GB model is listed at $649. Neither phone is available for purchase right now, though Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for Sprint, AT&T and Verizon starting on September 13. The device will hit store shelves on September 20.
We’re not sure if T-Mobile will reveal a different pricing strategy – it seems like that would be the goal. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
