Nokia: “Thanks Apple – Imitation Is the Best Form of Flattery”

I guess we had to see this coming somehow. Nokia has made a lot of effort distinguishing its smartphones from the pack by selling them in a variety of colors. Apple broke away from its tradition of selling black, white or silver phones on Tuesday when it introduced the iPhone 5C, a new device that will launch in several colors.

Nokia took that announcement to pump up its own message by posting an image to Twitter. “Thanks, #Apple – Imitation Is the Best Form of Flattery,” the Tweet says. It’s complemented with a picture that includes several of its phones in a gamut of colors, including red, green, yellow and blue.

This isn’t the first time Nokia has talked a bit of smack on Twitter. It recently mocked Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat and Samsung with a tweet that showed the Galaxy S4 breaking in half. Ah competition, you keep the day exciting.
