Apple is very much expected to announce its iPhone 5S today and, naturally, a number of accessories will likely be made almost immediately available for the new smartphone. One of those could be an official leather iPhone 5S case from Apple. HDBlog.it spilled what it’s dubbing the official packaging from the case.
If you look close, you can see that the packaging says: “This case is made from natural aniline leather. Its appearance will change as you use it.” The plastic material also states “iPhone 5S Case,” which seems to confirm the name of the new smartphone yet again. We imagine the protective cover will be sold in Apple’s retail stores and online as soon as the phone hits store shelves, which could be as soon as September 20. Sadly, there’s no image of the actual case yet.
As MacRumors notes, it’s a bit weird that the packaging for the case has a lowercase “s” since we’re expecting the official branding to include a full uppercase “S” in the iPhone 5S name. We’ll know in just a few hours. Stay tuned and be sure to bookmark our iPhone 5S liveblog.
