Moto X Gets Even More Customized with #MAKEwithX 3D Printing

Are 16 different color combinations and 7 accents not enough to create a one-of-a-kind Moto X for yourself? How about 3D printing a few accessories instead? MAKEwithMOTO is a team from Motorola out on the road right now who are visiting several schools across the United States armed with 3D printers. The goal? See what the human imagination is capable of, and to provide young people with a chance to design smartphones.

A side project during this trip is called MAKEwithX, and it’s letting people use the group’s 3D printers to create unique accessories for their Moto X smartphones. The group recently held a Hangouts session to talk about the possibilities of 3D printing accessories and provided some examples, such as dogtags that match the phones, cases, covers and more.

The group will choose a few lucky tweeters to customize their own accessories, provided that you tweet using the hashtag #MAKEwithX. Good luck!
