With Samsung Unpacked behind us, it’s all about Apple until Cupertino’s big event on Sept. 10, and today we’ve got a fresh gallery of leaked iPhone 5S photos showing off what could be the device’s rumored fingerprint scanner. The latest leak comes from Sonny Dickson, and shows the upcoming smartphone’s flex cable and home button, which look undeniably different from the component used in the iPhone 5.
Rumors that Apple will release an iPhone with built-in fingerprint sensor have been floating around for years, but really started picking up steam in the months leading up to the iPhone 5S release. We’ve already seen numerous leaked photos of the redesigned home button and flex cable, as well as a few lines of code in an iOS 7 beta that describe how the security feature will work.
We won’t know anything for sure until Apple’s big announcement next week, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S as well as an entry-level iPhone 5C. There’s still plenty of time left for more leaks, so stay tuned.
