Sony QX100 and QX10 Smartphone Lenses Leak on Amazon

by Todd Haselton | September 4, 2013September 4, 2013 7:15 am PDT

Sony is about to hold a press conference where we largely expect it to announce two products that are already on Amazon’s site. That includes the QX10 and the QX100, two camera lenses that will work with smartphones.

The idea is unique. Sony wanted to create better cameras for our devices, and the QX100 and QX10 work to that end by allowing you to sync them with your smartphone and take photos. In other words, you shouldn’t need a separate DSLR because anything shot with the lenses ends up on your camera roll. It looks like both have 18-megapixel cameras, but the QX100 has a larger 1-inch sensor compared to the 2/3-inch sensor on the QX10.

The QX100 is listed for $500 on Amazon while the QX10 costs about half the price at $250. We hope to learn more in the very near future.
