Rumors have been circulating for some time now that Samsung is working on a Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet, and there may just be photographic proof of its existence now.
Korean tech site MovePlayer has posted an image of what it says is the Galaxy Note 12.2. Because it’s a single image, and is clearly a press style render, we’re going to suggest taking a grain of salt with this, but it does look feasible and sticks with a lot of Samsung’s design cues.
What we can see from the alleged image is that Samsung could be sticking with its physical buttons that it uses for every device. MovePlayer also says that it learned the 12.2-inch screen would have a resolution of 2560 x 1600.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 is due for a refresh, and IFA – which kicks off this week – has been a popular spot for Samsung to announce new additions to that product family. That being said, we haven’t heard of any products being introduced this week other than the Galaxy Note III and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. With the Samsung event planned for Sept. 4, we don’t have long to wait to find out, so stay tuned as TechnoBuffalo covers the event live from Berlin. Perhaps we will see the introduction of a gigantic tablet after all.
