Motorola’s rumored low-cost Moto X may come with swappable colored cases, according to a photo published on Chinese social media site Sina Weibo. The move could be a cheaper option than the full customization available for the Moto X through the Moto Maker website. The latest leak follows a CNET interview with Dennis Woodside in which the Motorola CEO suggested a budget-friendly version of the flagship handset was on the way.
The cases do appear to feature official Motorola branding on them and the speaker grill on the back is on the opposite side than where it is on the Moto X, which shows these aren’t just some Moto X covers. The anonymous leaker also mentions dual SIM support in the lower-priced Moto X.
Woodside also said last month that Motorola has multiple Moto X-branded products in the pipeline, suggesting we may see multiple different devices in the near future, in addition to what we see above.
