Alleged Galaxy Note III Compared to Note II in New Photo

Yesterday we got a good look at an alleged Galaxy Note III front panel, including a few new measurements. Today a new photo shows the upcoming phablet side-by-side with the current Note II, and the two devices look shockingly similar.

The Galaxy Note III is expected to be sport a 5.68-inch display, almost a full 0.2 inches larger than the current Note II. Based on today’s leaked photo, it looks like Samsung has managed to stretch the device’s screen without making the actual phone that much larger. How did the South Korean company do it? It’s all in the bezels. According to eTrade Supply, the new phablet features ultra thin 2.2mm side bezels. The top and bottom bezels also look noticeably thinner, and the new device is more rectangular with slightly less-rounded corners.

Samsung is reportedly set to unveil the Galaxy Note III at IFA next week, where we’ll learn the device’s official specs. However, based on recent reports, we expect the device to come equipped with a 3,200mAh battery, a 13-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM, and an S Pen. The new Galaxy Note will also reportedly run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, while also offering Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI.
