A new press render of the Sony Xperia Z1, also known by its codename “Honami,” has surfaced showing the phone in a trio of colors. At this rate there won’t be much we don’t know about the handset once Sony finally unveils it.
Rumors about the Xperia Z1 have been rolling in for a few months now, and with the announcement apparently set to happen at Sony’s Sept. 4 press conference during IFA, it seems that the news is picking up even more speed. The new image that appeared on the Digi-Wo forums over the weekend shows the Z1 in black, white and purple, and gives us a decent glance at the rumored 20 megapixel camera on the back.
No information about the internals of this device were apparent in the image of course, but it is rumored that the Xperia Z1 will sport a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM, which should lead to a pleasant user experience.
We’ll be in attendance at the Sept. 4 press event in Berlin so be sure to stay tuned for lots of coverage of the Xperia Z1 once it’s announced.
