On the way to its reported Sept. 4 debut, Samsung’s Galaxy Note III has passed through the official Bluetooth SIG certification. A device’s presence in SIG documents doesn’t typically reveal much information, though it does further confirm it is indeed coming. We’ve heard plenty of rumors surrounding Samsung’s next big phablet, and it seems we’re on the brink of officially learning what the device is all about.
The most recent rumor claimed Samsung would introduce the Note III during a Sept. 4 announcement and release the device shortly after. Now that the flagship is showing up in official certification channels, it sure looks like that rumor may turn out to be true. We are so, so close to Samsung’s event; can Samsung hold off the leaks until then? This year has been full of high-profile leaks, and we got a nice glimpse of the Galaxy S4 right before its unveiling. A little over a week to go.
