Yesterday, Sony published a picture of the power button for the Sony Xperia Z1, also known as Honami. Now it’s teasing the smartphone again. This time we see the device dunked into water, which suggests that, like the Xperia Z. it will also be water resistant.
We can also see that the device has the same sharp edges as the Xperia Z. That suggests this phone may look very similar to its predecessors, but will make much more powerful hardware. Some rumored specs include a Snapdragon 800 processor, for example, in addition to 16GB of storage, a 5-inch display, 2GB of RAM, a 3,000mAh battery and a 20-megapixel camera. Oddly, Sony hasn’t been teasing the camera too much, which is a bit surprising.
The Xperia Z1 is expected to break cover during IFA early next month. TechnoBuffalo will be on the ground reporting from Sony’s press conference, so stay tuned.
