Google Maps Expands Street View to Show Zoos Around the World

Google announced that the Street View feature in its Maps service will now let users explore some of the best zoos around the world without ever leaving your computer. The added feature also includes regular maps for the same zoos, making it easy to plan your trip in advance.

In a post on the official Google Maps blog, the company highlighted several zoos in particular, including the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, which houses over 30 percent of the remaining giant panda population, as well as the also-endangered—and also-adorable—red panda.

The update also adds zoos across North America, including those in San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, and the Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park in Ontario.
