Verizon and LG may be preparing to release a new Android slider complete with a full QWERTY keyboard– a style that we thought was starting to be retired as companies focus on larger touchscreens. An image of the device was published on Twitter today by prolific mobile leaker @evleaks.
We don’t know much about the new Verizon-LG collaboration, which @evleaks claims is called the Enact. But it allegedly comes equipped with a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5-megapixel rear camera. However, the device’s launch is reportedly just “days away,” though we’re not sure we’re going to see a big launch for this device. It looks relatively low to mid-end, and marketing cash is usually spent on the flagship devices these days.
We imagine this is going to be a smartphone targeted at teens and people who still require a full QWERTY keyboard. We’ll take a guess and peg this in the $50 price range with a new two-year contract, though we’re only speculating right now.
