Apple will indeed sell a gold iPhone 5S, according to a new report published on Monday. There have been several leaked parts suggesting that a “champagne gold” color was in the works, though there was some speculation that Apple wasn’t interested in moving away from its standard offering of black and white high-end iPhone models.
The story has been confirmed by several sources so far, including AllThingsD, TechCrunch and 9to5Mac‘s Mark Gurman, all of which have extremely solid track records reporting on Apple news. In other words, it’s basically confirmed but we still need Apple to take the stage on Sept.10 to make it official.
It sounds like white will still be part of the package, however, since AllThingsD says that it has learned the phone will still have white accents and a white front face. We’re excited to see what the final product looks like, but we’re already happy with the mock-up image above.
