Samsung announced Monday morning that AT&T, Sprint and U.S. Cellular will sell the Galaxy Mega 6.3 in the United States. The news follows a leak that we published this weekend that suggested the phone would launch at least on AT&T.
We enjoyed the Galaxy Mega 6.3 in our review period with the device. It has a massive 6.3-inch screen with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It’s not as powerful as the Galaxy S4, which has a beefier processor and more RAM, but you get another 1.3-inches of screen real-estate.
The large phablet will be available in black or white. AT&T will sell the device starting on Aug. 23 for $149.99 with a new two-year contract, though pricing and specific release dates were not announced by Sprint or U.S. Cellular.
