Upset that your Google Edition HTC One is running Android 4.2 while the regular edition is being upgraded to 4.2.2? HTC has your back.

Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales at HTC, was kind enough to answer some fan questions this past Friday on his Twitter account, and amongst his responses was some information on the state of updates for the Google Edition HTC One, namely where the 4.2.2 update was. It seems HTC has decided why not just go for the gusto and jump straight to 4.3 instead?

This of course doesn’t answer when the carrier editions of the phone will be getting the 4.3 update, but seeing as Cincinnati Bell has announced it will be going to 4.3 soon, you have to assume other carriers won’t be far behind.

No word on when exactly the Google Edition HTC One units will receive the 4.3 update, but we’re guessing it isn’t too far off.
