Thief Gets Release Date, “Uprising” Trailer

Thief, the reboot of a now classic franchise, finally has a release date. Fans will be able to drive Master Garret to all the loot he can handle over a single campaign starting on Feb. 25, 2014.

Alongside the news of an official release date, Eidos has delivered a brand new trailer for the game. The two minute and 30 something second clip is entirely made of pre-rendered graphics, so expect a more story and thematic focused affair before you watch.

After the E3 presentation of Thief, I’ll admit that I was rather underwhelmed with what was shown off. You can read that preview right here, though, in hindsight, I think I was a little easier on the demo than I should have been.

I hope Eidos is set to prove me wrong. When Thief drops for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, I hope it’s an absolutely stunning work of gaming goodness. Only time will tell, of course, and we’ll be watching along the way. Stay tuned.
