We’re pretty certain the iPhone 5C isn’t a figment of our imaginations at this point. It’s been leaked too frequently and it’s a device that makes perfect sense for Apple’s expansion into the budget markets around the world. If you did have any reservations about its legitimacy, however, it might be time to lay them to rest. GforGames recently spotted Taiwanese celebrity Jimmy Lin posting two photos of the device to the social network Weibo.
The phone looks exactly like every other leaked photo we’ve seen. It has a single LED flash on the back, is made out of shiny plastic and has the curved edges that line up with most other photos. We’re not very familiar with Jimmy Lin, to be honest, and it would be unlike Apple to give the device to anyone outside the company at this point. It looks like it’s complete, however: you can see the volume buttons popping out of the right side of the device, and the LED and camera module are clearly on the back. That means we’re not just looking at another case.
According to a Wikipedia page, Jimmy Lin is a Taiwanese singer, actor and professional race car driver. Take these photos at face value for now. We can’t imagine this is sitting well with Apple if it is indeed the real deal: no matter how badly it wants to boost its presence in China.
