Verizon launched a sign-up page for the LG G2 today, letting consumers enter their email addresses to receive updates on when the newly-announced smartphone will be available for pre-order and purchase. The 5.2-inch handset was announced on August 7 at a media event in NY, but the South Korean company failed to mention when the device will actually ship.
The G2 is LG’s latest flagship smartphone and it comes with all the specs, bells and whistles you could hope for. The handset is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. The design also shifts the power and volume controls from the side of the device to the back for a clean and symmetrical look. The G2 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with plenty of LG features slathered on top.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know how much the LG G2 will cost or when it will be released on the major carriers. However, an early leak suggested the handset would launch in South Korea this month, and arrive in the U.S. and Europe by September. For now, the best way to find out is to sign up on Verizon’s page and check back here for any updates in the meantime.
