Grand Theft Auto V Gets 13 New Images, Lightning and New Character

More Grand Theft Auto V artwork and screenshots means more excitement from fans around the world. Rockstar North has 13 new ones ready and available to open more speculation.

One of the artworks reveals a character we have not seen before. A paranoid man in a red shirt is seen listening in on frequencies on his personal radio. One look at the guy makes me wish that Woody Allen was he voice actor.

I am also wondering about the game’s weather effects too. Lightning has never been something that has been properly created in a video game, and has been left as nothing more than a scripted event in the game’s story. What would be most impressive is if Rockstar had found a way to create real-time lightning effects that take place in the actual world during a storm, striking not only trees and buildings but possibly characters too.

Beyond that, there is not much new here to see. Hunting in the woods, drive-bys on bikes, planes at sunset, prepping for a heist and the actual heist itself. It’s all Grand Theft Auto, and it’s all promising to be great.

Let us know what you think below. Grand Theft Auto V is launching for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 17. You can also check out previously released screenshots in the gallery below.
