The Nexus 7 is already widely available in the United States from Google and retail partners such as RadioShack and Best Buy. It still hasn’t launched in the United Kingdom, but that’s about to change. Asus recently confirmed that the tablet – which earned our praise for its beautiful design and amazing screen – will launch in the U.K. on August 28.

Pocket-Lint said that Asus confirmed the launch date. Eager customers may want to consider staying up late, too, since the device will apparently be in stock on August 27 in some retail partner locations, ready for sale following the stroke of midnight. The 16GB version of the Nexus 7 is expected to cost £199.99 in the U.K. while the 32GB model is expected to be priced at £239.99.

One UK retailer said recently that the device will launch on August 29, so the launch could vary depending on location or outlet.
