Sony hasn’t officially announced its press event for IFA in Berlin early next month, but it could happen on Sept. 4 according to a leaked invite obtained by Xperia-Digi-Wo. More importantly, the invite may show us a side-view of the Xperia i1, also known as the Honami. We can’t discern too much, but it looks thin and appears to have a purple hue on the backside.
One would think Sony would try to highlight the rumored 20-megapixel camera on the Honami, but that isn’t the case right now. Other rumored features include a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5-inch screen with a full 1080p resolution, a 3,000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and more. We wouldn’t be surprised if the i1 also has water and dust resistance, like the Xperia Z.
The Xperia i1 recently passed through the FCC in the United States, so we may see it land here in the months following the announcement.
