Wolfenstein: The New Order is looking mighty sharp, and this fresh gallery of in-game action goes on to prove that point. The shooter from the mercurial franchise looks to right some wrongs and re-establish Wolfenstein as one of the greats.
I can’t name a single gamer from my generation who doesn’t have at least one fond memory of the aging Wolfenstein series, and I’m certain Bethesda wants that status to return.
Bethesda and MachineGun Games recently announced their collective decision to delay Wolfenstein: The New Order out of 2013 and into 2014. The studio and publisher wants to build an epic game, not make something that will just as soon be forgotten, and that’s the cause for the slip.
When it launches in 2014, Wolfenstein: The New Order will sell for the PC (of course), Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We’ll have more on this game as it comes.
